A very simple document which turns into an 8 page book when copied on both sides. The children complete what they do on each day with words and pictures before presenting it to their friends, using the Spanish words for the days.

Small groups of children throw a dice aiming to get 123456 in that order. When they get 1 they can colour in the boots, but only if they can name them in Spanish. For younger children, they can colour in the boots but only after they have traced over the words in Spanish.

A presentation about Cuba with flag to colour, and a video to watch - I put the video on my memory stick to avoid the school firewall. I loved seeing struggling learners sing along to the song at the end of the class.

There is a bingo game, a facebook in which children can name people they know as bats, witches, pumpkins etc., and flashcards to initially teach the words. I ask children to call 'tengo' and hand out counters to cover them, and to call 'casa' when they have a full house.

Matt Monro sings Spanish future

Matt Monro sings Spanish future

(1)
A typically drama filled lovesong from Matt Monro, which is easy to understand due to the clear pronunciation of a singer who's native tongue is not Spanish. I have made a wordsearch, strings of words, and gapfill lyrics to engage learners with the song and the future tense. I can&'t include the song here, but I have included guidance on where to buy it. I hope that helps.
